My Story

Hi, I'm Kristi Gemperle, a wife, mother of four, and an advocate for informed eating. Growing up in the 1970s and 80s in California's Central Valley, I embraced the era of fast, easy cooking without much consideration for the ingredients in my food.

Fast forward to the 2000s, and I've become a conscious consumer, determined to know what goes into my body and the bodies of my loved ones. Yet, I faced a dilemma – I craved flavorful, healthy, and easy options, but even my go-to seasonings were packed with additives like sugar, gluten, and MSG. Driven by frustration, I took matters into my own hands. Drawing inspiration from my studies at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), I crafted a unique seasoning blend. Starting with the purity of Himalayan sea salt as my base, I carefully layered in other body-nurturing components like black and white pepper, cayenne, chipotle, garlic, onion, parsley, and turmeric.

Having shared my creation with family and friends for years, I've been encouraged by fellow food enthusiasts to extend the joy to others who, like me, yearn for healthy flavor filled food made easy.  Enter my creation – Kiss the Chef Spice, Universal Blend, the one-shake wonder.
